Tërmeti që goditi të mërkurën Italinë qendrore shkaktoi të paktën 241 të vrarë dhe mbi 360 të plagosur, thuhet në një raport të publikuar nga Agjencia italiane e Mbrojtjes Civile. Zonat më të goditura ishin qytezat Amatriçe dhe Accumoli, që thuajse u rrafshuan. Në Amatriçe pati 184 viktima, 43 në Arqueta dhe 11 të Accumoli. Ekipet e shpëtimit i vazhduan edhe të enjten kërkimet për personat që mund të kenë mbetur nën rrënoja.
